Description: After a botched money delivery, Lola has 20 minutes to come up with 100,000 Deutschmarks.

Review: Manni left a plastic bag with 100.000 German Marks on the subway. He had to deliver this money to a dangerous criminal. Manni calls his girlfriend Lola from a phonebooth. Together they have twenty minutes to come up with the money, else Manni will die.
In a fast paced montage the audience is sucked into the race against time, combined with pulsating techno music. From the opening credits it’s clear: “Lola Rennt” is an original movie experience.
The movie has three parts: the story in twenty minutes but three times different. A ‘what if…’ story. We see what happens to the ending with small changes along the way.
The overall story doesn’t have a lot of depth, but because we get to see the same story three times and it overwhelms us, depth isn’t all that important. “Lola Rennt” is energetic and original.

Rating: 4,5/ 5
