Review: “Heathers” is an 80s comedy, that shocks. Not because of its plot twists or mystery, but because of the pure in-your-face moments. It’s satirical, provocative, hilarious and wild. “Heathers” is not you standard high-school comedy. “Heathers” is surprisingly dark. Every characters in this film is exaggerated. The kids are either sadistic or secretly psychotic. Or both. The adults are clueless. This way, things get pretty crazy. “Heathers” takes us behind the scene of the most popular clique in school: The three founding members, all named Heather. The get a new member, Veronica, who actually hates her friends. The film takes an abrupt, dark turn. The film has a comical take on murder. But “Heathers” also presents a clear moral statement: all people should be treated with decency.
