Michelle Williams is a fabulous actress. She is a classic beauty and is not average at any level. And she’s made some diamonds. Here are the three Michelle Williams movies I watched.

Oz the Great and Powerful

Opinion: Don’t you just love a good fairytale story? A lot of people criticized this movie, but I loved it. Maybe the acting is over the top, but it’s a Disney fairytale! I especially liked the three witches and the monkey. I also think the China girl was made beautifully. And oof course James…

Blue Valentine

Despite their relatively tender ages, they are both ravaged by the life they've eked out together and by the experiences they've had leading into their marriage..
Opinion: You think it’s just another lovestory, think again. It’s anything but that. A couple tries to think of the better days in their relationship, while nothing is like that anymore. Williams and Gosling have perfect chemistry which makes it all very realistic an believable.
Favorite character: Cindy Pereira (Michelle Williams)
Most memorable quote: “In my experience, the prettier a girl is, the more nuts she is, which makes you insane.” –Dean Pereira- Best scene: Dean sings and plays the guitar and Cindy dances.

My Week With Marilyn

Cast: Michelle Williams, Eddie Redmayne, Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench, Emma Watson, Julia Ormond, Toby Jones Description: Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne), an employee of Sir Laurence Olivier's (Kenneth Branagh), documents the tense interaction between Olivier and Marilyn Monroe (Michelle Williams) during production of The Prince and the Showgirl.
Opinion: I never knew Marilyn Monroe was such an insecure woman, who was very unhappy. She was obviously very good at hiding it. The story that Colin Clark tells us here, is not very well known. Michelle Williams is the perfect actress to portray her, she shines in every single scene. I think her performance is even better then the movie itself.
Favorite character: Dame Sybil Thorndike (Judi Dench)
Most memorable quote: “Darling, as I'm in England let's say I sleep in nothing but Yardley's lavender”. –Marilyn Monroe-
Best scene: Marilyn and Colin are visiting Windsor Castle, when the employees welcome her. Marilyn decides to give the audience what they want, she puts on a little show for them.

This movie was criticized, but I really enjoyed it a lot. I loved the world Sam Raimi created and the characters. Here are the leading characters from "Oz the Great and Powerful".

Oscar Diggs aka Oz
Played by: James Franco
Oscar is a selfish and greedy con artist at first. He aspires to not just be good, he wants to be great! Oscar is very charming and he uses it for his own advantage, to deceive others. Dispite of this all, he has empathy and a true good heart.

Theodora
Played by: Mila Kunis
Theodora is a beautiful witch, but also a little bit naïve. She wants peace to come to her land and believes Oscar can give that. Theodora falls in love with him.

Glinda
Played by: Michelle Williams
Glinda is a witch and she rules over a peaceful kingdom of simple and kind folk. She isn’t only compassionate, but she also protects her people no matter what. Glinda sees who Oscar really is, she knows that genuine goodness lies within him.

Evanora
Played by: Rachel Weisz
Evanore is Theodora’s overprotective sister and a witch to be feared. She has positioned herself as the royal adviser and protector of Emerald City.

Finley
Voiced by: Zach Braff
Finley is a flying monkey and he befriends Oscar. He accompanies him on his journey. Finley is intelligent and has a sense of honor.

China Girl
Voiced by: Joey King
China girl is a doll from the village of China Town. Everything there is made of China. She is found by Oscar, who takes her along on his journey. She is very sweet and kind, despite being easily scared she has a feisty sight to her.

DVD Collection Update (6)

There are six new additions to my DVD collection.

The first is "The Fantastic Mr. Fox". I'm so in love with this story and the movie. You can totally see the love and energy that was put in to this project. And the color scheme is just beautiful. Love stop-motion.

The newest movie I bought. I wanted to see this in the theater, but as usual nobody wanted to go with me. But that makes it always extra excited to finally get it on DVD, because you have an complete new movie experience. I know that "Oz the Great and Powerful" was criticized, but I liked it a lot. It was very entertaining and I liked the witches and the flying monkey.

What a beautiful movie "Blue Valentine" is. For some reason people think it's a romantic film to watch with your partner. Well, the title suggests it, but it's not a love story. Far from that. What great performances by Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling.

A lot of people compare it to "Hotel Rwanda". I can see why, it's about he genocide in Rwanda. Both "Hotel Rwanda" and this one are fantastic films. I slightly prefer "Shooting Dogs", it's even more confronting an rally opens your eyes. I can't believe the UN just left them there. Loved John Hurt and Hugh Dancy.

One of my favorite Pixar film, can't believe I didn't own it yet. But aren't Disney movies expensive, always! They hardly ever go on sale. I love this, such a heartwarming movie and it's set in Paris!

I had no intention of buying it, but it was on sale, the only one on the shelve an it's a steelbook! It was screaming for my attention. "Léon" is brilliant, haven't seen it in a while so it's about time.

I missed quite a lot of good trailers the last two weeks. So here I'm sharing them with you again. This weeks trailers are about the wizard of Oz, goats, a couple traveling through the mountains of Georgia, a piano prodigy and a guy named Reacher.

Comment: You know I love James so I have to see this. And Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz are all great too. And the visuals look fantastic. I'm in!!

Goats

His dad (Ty Burrell) left home years ago and is more focused on his new wife (Keri Russell) and family. And then there's Goat Man (David Duchovny), the goat-herding sage who has lived in their pool house since Ellis was a child, teaching him the meaning of stability, commitment, and expanding one's mind. When Ellis decides to leave Tucson to go to the same East Coast prep school that his father went to, he easily assimilates to his new environment - even gaining the attention of a local girl (Dakota Johnson). Why Stop Now
