Top 5 Thursday: "Supernatural" Characters

First I want to apologize for not frequently posting messages. My laptop crashed last week, so I have to share a computer. Which means I can't post messages as often as usual. In the weekends I can, so I will try to keep my blog up-to-date.

But for now, it's top 5 thursday and today I'm putting my second favorite TV show in the spotlights. Here are my favorite characters from that show.

5. Bobby Singer
Bobby is the closest thing Sam and Dean have to a father, since John died. Bobby knows a lot about the supernatural and is the Winchesters go to guy for information on how to slay a creature. He saved their asses more than once and cares a lot for Sam and Dean.

4. John Winchester
With two awesome sons, the dad had to be pretty cool too. And handsome. Although John wasn’t a picture perfect father, he did love his sons and did everything for them.

3. Jo Harvelle
My favorite female character on the show. She was introduced in season two and later made a surprise return in season 5. I really wished she hooked up with Dean, because he realized how much she meant to him right before Jo died. I hated to see her go.

2. Castiel
Although Castiel doesn’t display a lot of emotions and always exhibits an extremely somber disposition, he’s the only angel that later on does experience emotion. He helps the brothers and I like his bond with Dean.

1. Dean Winchester
Dean is a rebel and a ladies man, but deep inside there is this sweet and kind guy. He just happens to hunt the supernatural, kicks ass with a gun, drives an awesome car and has a killer smile. Seriously… what’s not to like.

Top 5 Thursday: "Supernatural" Season 1 Episodes

I love "Supernatural" but I still think the first two seasons were the best. That's why this weeks top 5 is about the first season of the great TV show. Here are my favorite episodes of that season.

5. Episode 18 – Something Wicked
Sam and Dean are investigating a small town in Wisconsin where children have been fallen into comas for now reason. They discover it’s a ‘stricha’ who crawls into the kids bedroom and steals their life force. In this episode we see Sam and Dean as kids as well and that one of the brothers was also almost attacked by this creature.

4. Episode 12 – Faith
Dean is electrocuted while fighting a monster and his heart is damaged. When the doctors tell him he only has one month to live, Sam brings him to a faith healer as being Dean's last resort. It actually cures Dean, but they find out that this healer steals people’s lives so he can save others.

3. Episode 17 – Hell House
Sam and Dean investiage a house with a maniacal ghost in it. Here we meet Harry and Ed, who we later know as “Ghostfacers”. Sam and Dean starting to prank them, I think it was really funny. Especially because Harry and Ed think they are the bomb when it comes to the supernatural, but they are actually very scared.

2. Episode 11 – Scarecrow
Couples are killed by a scarecrow that comes to life. Sam is on his way to meet his dad, so Dean has to deal with the case by himself. That’s what I liked the most about this episode. When Dean got into trouble, Sam was there for him. And Dean yelling: “I hope your apple pie is freakin’worthed.”

1. Episode 2 – Wendigo
Sam and Dean end up in Blackwater Ridge, where a group of campers are missing. They find out they’re dealing with a Wendigo. This episode was so exciting and maybe even one of favorites overall.

They almost made the top 5: Episode 3 - Death in the Water, Episode 5 – Bloody Mary, Episode 8 – Bugs and Episode 22 – Devil’s Trap

Why do we love Dean Winchester?

A while ago I gave you a couple of reasons why I love the CW show "Supernatural". Well, it's a great show, but my favorite thing about the show is Dean. When I started to think things over, I came to think of a lot of reason why I love Dean Winchester so much (love him in a non- creepy way). I came up with 12 reasons. Here they are:

... because he has a good sense of humor
... because of his Impala. He could take me for a ride any time
... because he does everything to save the people he loves
... because he breaks my heart everytime he cries. I just want to cry with him
... because of his smile
... because he's a family man and an awesome big brother
... because of his ass ;)
... because of his leather jacket which looks very good on him (he also looks ridiculously good in a suit by the way)
... because he's great with kids
... because he know how to handle a gun
... because he loves rock music and when he sings along, it actually sounds good
... because he so freakin' irresistible

7 Reasons why you should watch "Supernatural"

1. The storylines The writers do a great job at writing new and surprising storylines every single episode. It keeps this show fresh and interesting.
2. The 1967 Chevy Impala Without a doubt the coolest car I've ever seen. Dean can pick me up every time in that ride!
3. The laughs Allthough it's a supernatural scary show, it brings us a lot of laughs. The two brothers make funny jokes about each other or the case that their are working on. Who doesn't like a guy with a good sense of humour?
4. Myths, legends and folklores I always loved stories like this. Stories that can't possibly be true, but still nobody proved if it's true or fiction.
5. The monsters Some monsters are even scarrier then the next. Not just how they look, but their attitude can be very spooky too. I like it that sometimes one of the monsters returns in another episode.
6. The supporting cast It's all about Dean and Sam, but they get a lot of help. Like dad John, Bobbi, Jo, Ellen, Castiel, Ruby and Gordon.
7. Sam and Dean They are, I think, the main reason why most people (read:women) watch "Supernatural. Sam is a very smart, sweet and responsible guy. you can always rely on him. Dean is funny, tough and charming. He has a big mouth and a big heart. That's the perfect combo for a kick-ass duo and a great TV-show, that you really need to watch!
