I haven't done any scrapbooking since may 2010! That's a long time. I just didn't have any inspiration. But I picked it up this weekend. I already made to and I have four more to go. Here are the two I made today (I'm sorry for the quality of the photos).

50 Books Challenge - # 18: Watership Down by Richard Adams

Title: Watership Down
Author: Richard Adams
Story: Fleeing the intrusion of man and the certain destruction of their ancestral home, a band of rabbits encounters harrowing trials posed by predators and hostile warrens — driven only by their vision to create a perfect society in a mysterious promised land known to them as Watership Down.

Comment: I remember reading it for English class in High School and I wanted to reread this book for quite some time now. I finally got to it. I loved reading this book, because we see everything through the eyes of the rabbits. The characters in "Watership Down" are loveable, also human-like, although you respect the rabbits more than the humans. This is not just a book about rabbits. It's about friendship, enemies, leadership, bravery and pride. I think we adults can learn so much from them. It's such a beautiful book, that I can hardly put it in to words. I simply love it.

Something new from Steve, Ryan, Will, Tom, Julia, Reese, Owen and Rachel

I always like to check the newest movie trailer, to see what is coming in the theatres soon. I've seen some great new ones this week. Here are my favorites:

"Crazy, Stupid, Love" (with Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, Julianne Moore, Emma Stone, Marisa Tomei and Kevin Bacon)
Steve Carell plays a man who's dealing with a marital crisis. He meets Ryan Goslings character, who is a ladiesman. Steve Carell is just great, he's so endeering. And Ryan Gosling.... oooh. Fantastic, underrated actor and extremely handsome!

"Everything Must Go" (with Will Ferrell, Rebecca Hall and Laura Dern)
After he lost his wife and job, Nick Halsey holds a yardsale in order to start over. A new neighbour might be the key to his return to form. I think Will Ferrell is hilarious and this seems like a mix of comedy and light drama. I really like those kind of films.

"Larry Crowne" (Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts)
After losing his job, the middle aged Larry Crowne reinvents himself by going back to college. I look forward to anything with Tom Hanks in it, he can hardly do anything wrong. Julia Roberts will make a great leading lady.

"Water for Elephants" (Robert Pattinson, Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz)
After his parents die, Jacob joins a traveling circus. He takes care of Rosie, the elphant and falls for the beautiful Marlene who's the wife of brute August. I think all three actors where cast perfectly, especially Waltz. I actually pictures him while reading the book (which I loved!).

"Midnight in Paris" (Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, Adrien Brody and Kathy Bates)
It's a romantic comedy that follows a family traveling to the city for business. The party includes a young engaged couple that has their lives transformed throughout the journey. I love Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams and they reunite in this film (they starred together in "Wedding Crashers"). And I love the poster!

Some great movies, I can't say which one I'm looking forward to the most. It's just fun to see movies with some of my favorites in it.

Best of... Jim Carrey

Jim Carrey is definitely one of the funniest men ever. He has a great sense of humor and he's also physically really hilarious. He actually makes my mom nervous, but he can actually make my mood better. A Jim Carrey movie is the perfect medicine for when you're having a bad day. Here are my favorites.

"Ace Ventura: Pet Detective"
Not only his funniest movie, also the most funny character he's ever played. Ace is so idiotic, but so cool. Don't you love that scene with the sliding door, where he's trying to proof that nobody could've heard the scream? I'm rolling on the ground (literally). And the scene where he's pretending to be 'crazy', when he's wearing a tutu.

"The Mask"
I think this was the first Jim Carrey movie I ever saw. I always liked this film, especially when the mask starts dancing. Funny movie.

"Dumb and Dumber"
Those guys are so dumb, that you love 'em for it. They are ignorant, naive and clueless all together. His name alone makes you wanna laugh out loud (Lloyd Christmas, come one!)

"The Cable Guy"
Carrey steals the show here. He plays a wacky cable guy, who wants to befriend Matthew Broderick, but he's a little bit obsessive. I think the scene during the medeavel dinner is the funniest.

"Liar, Liar"
The plot doesn't seem all that funny, but you can leave it to Jim Carrey. I don't think I could keep a straight face while working with him. I actually haven't seen this movie in a while, but I rememebr liking it very much. It's hilarious.

"The Truman Show"
Carrey proved here that he can also be serious. And you actually take him seriously. His performance is almost brilliant and I think this is his best movie and role. Even though the theme is a little weird, that doesn't bother you because it's such a believable film.

"How the Grinch Stole Christmas"
Just a fun christmas movie. Nothing special, I just enjoyed it very much. And Jim is good as an evil christmas hater.

"Man on the Moon"
Again he showed a different side of himself. He played comedian Andy Kaufman, but this movie gets dramatic. Also a fantastic performance by Carrey.

"Bruce Almighty"
Jim Carrey gets the chance to play God? It's such a great comedy. And I love him together with Jennifer Aniston.

"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"
If you think you know Jim Carrey, think again. He pulls of a great performance. Many say his best. Great film!

"Lemony Snicket's A series of Unfortunate Events"
I like the story and the absurd idea behind it. Jim Carrey as Count Olaf, amazing. The movie has great sphere and I liked it very much.

"Fun with Dick and Jane"
How great is this one? I was surprised by Tea Leoni's comedic performance. I didn't know she could be so funny. Great combo with Carrey.

"Yes Man"
I couldn't stop laughing when I saw him in his Harry Potter outfit, with the short tie. OMG, even thinking about it makes me wanna scream. This is one of the most recent ones I saw of him.

I've never seen "The Majestic". A lot of people say that this is one of his best movies. I also didn't see "I Love you Philip Morris". Jim Carrey is a man you either love or hate. I'm a sucker for his humor!

50 Books Challenge - # 17: Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell

Comment: When I read the back of this novel, I was very curious about it. I really didn't know what to expect. Six different stories are told and five of them are interrupted half way through. At first you think it are just six stories, but soon enough you'll find out there's more to it. The individual stories have connections with the other stories, which makes it one piece. The great thing about this book is that David Mitchell managed to use six different writing styles. Each story has his own unique style, like a journal, letters and an interview. And they are all set centuries apart. I never read anything like this before. The stories about Adam Ewing, Luisa Rey and Robert Frobisher were my favorites and the story of Zach'ry didn't really interest me much. I don't know why, it was a confusing story. That's probably just me. It took me a while to finish it, because it such good literature. It's not easy to read. Mitchell is a very gifted writer and I'm really looking forward to reading more of his work.

Lovely Jennifer Garner. She's just such a sweet woman and I enjoy her in her films. And she is a natural beauty. Wasn't she just adorable in "13 Going On 30" and she made "Valentine's Day" worth watching. And she was great in "Juno" and "The Kingdom". Here are some pictures of Jennifer Garner.

Favorite of the month: "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone"

I haven't finished "Cloud Atlas" yet, but I will probably finish it tomorrow. I added it to the list because I started reading it in March.
I still have some books to read. Next will probably be "Watership Down" by Richard Adams. I once read it for English class, when I was still in high school. I wanted to reread it for a while and I finally got a hold of it at the library. Check out my blog soon for updates on my challenge.
