Monthly 4 - December 2014

The end of the year and a great month to end that year.

1. I saw "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" with my brother Frank and my good friend Chris. The last chapter of the epoc story and it was an amazing movie. It's my least favorite in the series, but it was still wonderful.

2. Off course I celebrated Christmas, as Always with my parents and my brother. I love Christmas. I got some awesome presents. Especially the chopping board with my name on it was great.

3. My mom and I went to Paris for a day. Paris is such a beautiful city and with Christmas it's also gorgeous. It was an exhausting day, but worthed.

4. The highlight of this month, probably even of the entire year, happened on december 30th. My best Irene, who I know since I was 6, had a daughter. Her name is Vayèn and she is beautiful. It was such a special moment to see them for the first time. Now I'm "aunt" Joyce, a new role that I'm going to fulfill with joy!

Christmas vs. Wizard

I told you I had two more layouts to make. Well here they are. One is from my trip to Dusseldorf, Germany. There was a Christmas market. I don't really like this layout very much. I can;t tell you why, but I'm just not completely satisfied with it.

This one I do like. IT'S A WIZARD!!! A living statue, that we saw in Dusseldorf. The font, that I used to make the title, is "Parry Hotter" (No, I didn't spel it wrong, it really is Parry Hotter).

Christmas in Düsseldorf

I love Christmas. Even the weeks before Christmas. Yesterday me and my mom went to a Christmas market in Düsseldorf, Germany. The whole city was in the spirit of Christmas. There were a lot of stands where they sold Christmas decorations and stands with food and drinks (also Christmassy, is that even a word?). It was very cold and our feet were very tired at the end, but it was so much fun. Here are some pictures:

Düsseldorf welcoming us in German:

A giant Christmas tree. Isn't it wonderfull?

A shop window decorated for Christmas. The animals actually moved:

A living statue. He looked so real. When you put a coin in his jar, he moved:

Sanra Claus is coming....

It's almost Christmas. This is always a very busy period. We already decorated our tree, so that's done. But now we have to buy gifts (which isn't easy, especially when one never makes a Christmas list). We don't have to buy gifts, but I always like to buy something nice for my family and friends. And they do the same for me. This week I'm going Christmas shopping. I already got some good ideas for my brother, he's the easy one.
Tuesday I have a Christmas breakfast at the school that I work on. Very early in the mornig!!! But it's nice to share this with my collegues.
I'm in the Christmas mood and I'm really looking forward to it. And I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, because I never had one. Here in The Netherlands it doesn't snow very often. We did have a white eastern though (that was weird) and two weeks ago we also had snow, but never snow on Christmas day. I just keep hoping that it will happen this year.

X Joyce

PS.Oh... don't forget.... tommorow I will post another movie tip for you!!
