Top 5 Thursday: Movie Cameos of 2015

Still looking back on 2015 as a movie year, I’ve started listing the best cameos in movies of that year. It was pretty tough, I had to dig deep. But here are my five favorite cameos of 2015.

5. 50 Cent (“Spy”)
The rapper has been in the acting game for a while now, but in “Spy” he plays himself while on a way to a concert near to the end of the film. Mostly alongside Miranda Hart’s character Nancy.

4. Daniel Radcliffe and Marisa Tomei (“Trainwreck”)
Radcliffe and Tomei show up in the movie within the movie. Amy Shumer’s character and John Cena’s Steven go and see it. It’s an Indie parody called “The Dogwalker”.

3. Hugh Jackman (as Wolverine in “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl”)
Director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon had no idea if he was going to be able to snag Hugh Jackman to voice a picture of Wolverine in Rachel’s room. But when he told him about the scene, Jackman signed on.

2. Liam Neeson (“Entourage” and “Ted 2”)
Although I wasn’t a huge fan of either of the movies, Liam Neeson makes it all a lot more fun. In “Entourage” he does something we all want to do: he gives Ari Gold the finger. In “Ted 2” he buys a box of US cereal Trix and is concerned it’s just for kids. Really funny.

1. Mark Hamill (“Kingsman: The Secret Service”)
Mark Hamill pops up as professor Arnold, a scientist that the Kingsmen send Lancelot to rescue. This mission doesn’t go that well though. And Professor Arnold ends up, well…. He explodes.

They Almost Made the Top 5: Stan Lee (“Avengers: Age of Ultron”), Nemo (“Inside Out”)

100 Movie Challenge 2015 - # 102: Entourage

Director: Doug Elin
Genre: Comedy
Runtime: 104 minutes
Year: 2015
Starring: Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connelly, Jerry Ferrara, Kevin Dillon, Jeremy Piven, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Perrey Reeves, Rex Lee, Debi Mazar, Ronda Rousey, Haley Joel Osment, Billy Bob Thornton, Constance Zimmer

Description: Movie star Vincent Chase (Adrien Grenier), together with his boys Eric (Kevin Connelly), Turtle (Jerry Ferrara), and Johnny (Kevin Dillon), are back - and back in business with super agent-turned-studio head Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven) on a risky project that will serve as Vince's directorial debut.

Review: The TV show “Entourage” was very popular, it ran from 2004 till 2011 on HBO. The adventures of Vince Chase and his close entourage get another shot in a full length film. Like the show there are lots of beautiful women, famous locations and many cameos.
Vincent Chase wants to direct his next movie, where he will also star in and his brother Johnny “Drama” will also have a role. Ari Gold, once his agent, is now a big moviemaker and he trusts Vince with a million dollar project.
Financially, it’s getting a little bit out of hand. A big shot in Texas and his son want to invest, but that’s when the real problems start.
As you can see, the synopsis sounds like any other “Entourage” season, only this time an entire season is put into one movie. Or, it’s an extended episode. The movie brings you nothing new, it’s just enjoyable for the fans of the show.
“Entourage” is fun for one time, but if you skip it you wouldn’t really miss a thing.

Rating: 2,5/ 5

Top 5 Thursday: TV Brothers

There have been some great TV show with some awesome brothers in it. Here are my five favourite on screen brothers.

5. Vincent and Johnny Chase in “Entourage”
Both actors, one more successful than the other, but they are inseparable.

4. Charlie and Alan Harper in “Two and a Half Men”
Charlie the ladies man and Alan the loser. Two brothers couldn’t be more different, they constantly mock each other and they hardly ever have a serious conversation.

3. Lucas and Nathan Scott in “One Tree Hill”
They hated each other in the beginning, because their douche of a dad kept them apart. But their bond was stronger and they became good friends and close brothers.

2. Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows in “Prison Break”
Michael made the ultimate sacrifice for his brother. He went to prison so he could get Lincoln out. Two strong brothers, one intelligent, one tough, together undefeatable.

1. Dean and Sam Winchester in “Supernatural”
Definitely the hottest brothers on screen and although they are very different, they are close and they would give their lives for eacht other. They actually did, a couple of times.

They Almost Made the Top 5: Peter and Nathan Petrelli in “Heroes”, Damon and Stefan Salvatore in “The Vampire Diaries”, Darryl and Merle Dixon in “The Walking Dead”

Entourage

Recently I've really been into "Entourage". It's about a big movie star, Vincent Chase, and his entourage. It has a lot of humour in it, it's pure entertainment. I love this show. My favourite character is Eric Murphy, the manager. He's loyal, smart, funny and also very cute!!! Ari Gold is magnificent. He's such an asshole, but you love him anyway! And Johnny "Drama" Chase is brilliant. Always living in the shadow of his brother Vince. Ari's assistant Lloyd is just hilarious, Shauna is kick ass and Turtle is very funny! To be honest, Vince is my least favourite character, but that's just me. Go check out this show if you've never seen it before. It's terrific!!!

Sexiest men on TV

Recently Simon Baker, from "The Mentalist" was named sexiest man on TV. Well sure, he's an attractive man, but I can think of ten better looking dudes on TV. For instance Josh Holloway, from "Lost", he's gorgeous. And George Eads, from "CSI". He was on the list tough. Just look at the picture and prove me wrong.... Jensen Ackles is maybe my favourite man on TV right now. He's the most handsome man I've ever seen. I said I could name ten so here are the other 7 guys I owe you: Jon Krasinski ("The Office US"), Jeffrey Dean Morgan ("Grey's Anatomy"), Wentworth Miller ("Prison Break"), Patrick Dempsey ("Grey's Anatomy"), Milo Ventmiglia ("Heroes"), Jeremy Piven ("Entourage") and Shawn Pyfrom ("Desperate Housewives"). I can go on like this.... So I really think those top tens TV Guide makes are overrated, because last year Patrick Dempsey was voted sexiest man on TV and now he isn't even in the top ten. Like he lost his sexy-ness all of a sudden. Ridiculous.
