Top 5 Thursday: Funniest TV Shows of All-Time

Laughter is the best medicine. And these shows will definitely make you laugh out loud. Here are my favorite funny TV shows.

5. Monty Pyhton’s Flying Circus
Before there was “Saturday Night Live”, we had Monty Python. The best sketch ever made, with probably the best humor. British know what’s funny. This show is not for everyone though, because it’s intelligent humor.

4. Modern Family
Talking about quirky families. This family always manages to make me smile and laugh and each of the characters is just memorable.

3. The Office
Is Michael Scott a good boss? Not really. But he makes working in an office at least more eventful than it is in real life. I loved the ‘reality’ style of the show and how funny it was.

2. Family Guy
It’s always so much fun to see what kind of shenanigans Peter Griffin gets into this time. The Griffin family is everything but an average one. The silly situations they get in to every time, impossible not to laugh

1. Seinfeld
The show about nothing eventually became everything for television. I can’t name my favorite episode, because they are all so memorable and classic. And the "Seinfeld" therminology, I still use it!

Top 5 Thursday: Tv Shows Perfect for Binge Watching

What do I love to do when it’s a rainy day and have nothing planned? Binge watch TV shows! And I got a list for you with some of the shows that are perfect for such an occasion.

5. Community
It’s not one of my favorite shows, but this is a perfect show to binge watch. Whenever Comedy Central is airing a marathon, I’m in!

4. The Office
Who doesn’t want to enjoy Michael Scott’s shenanigans for hours in a row? I always loved how this movie was filmed, like a documentary. I have to admit that Michael Scott leaving wasn’t the best for the show, but there are still enough episodes to binge watch.

3. The Walking Dead
It is not a 20 minute per episode kind of show, but once you watch an episode, it’s really hard to stop. It’s such an exciting and thrilling show! My favorite show of the moment.

2. Friends
I lost count at how many times I’ve watched all the episodes, but it never gets old. I just love “Friends” and that love will never die. I still laugh at the same jokes.

1. Modern Family
Filmed in the same style as “The Office” and I just love every single character in this show. It’s a show that always makes me happy and I can enjoy this show every single day of every single week.

Top 5 Thursday: TV Families

My family is the best, but there are so many fictional fmailies on TV that are super awesome. Here are my five favorites.

5. The Bundy's ("Married with Children")
They are no conventional, they are not nice to each other, but somehow it's hard to hate them. Favorite member: Al Bundy.

4. The Griffin's ("Family Guy")
They're maybe even weirder then the Bundy's. Peter that always gets into strange shenanigans, Lois who has to deal with all that, dumb Chris, black sheep Meg, baby Stewie who wants to rule the world and dog Brian. Favorite member: Brian Griffin.

3. The Taylor's ("Home Improvement")
I just love this family. Tim is hilarious and his wife Jill always tries to keep him on the right track. And the three very different sons doesn't make it easier for both Tim and Jill. Favorite member: Randy Taylor

2. The Winchester's ("Supernatural")
We only got to know Sam and Dean very well. And they are worth knowing! What a great pair of brothers. Father John we know only just a bit and mom Mary only from the past and flashbacks. One thing is for sure: No dull moment with the Winchester's. Favorite member: Dean Winchester.

1. The Dunphy's ("Modern Family")
A bit quirky, but very loving family. I just love Phil's enthusiasm and Claire is a bit like me, somewhat a controle freak sometimes. Pretty but not so smart Haley, nerd Alex and adventurous Luke. WHat a great family. Favorite member: Phil Dunphy.

DVD Collection Update (9)

Another great DVD update! Some movies I wanted to add to my collection for a long time and a great TV-show.

First I got the 4th season of "Modern Family". I already watched the entire season and loved every minute of it. It's such a fantastic show. And I'm a big fan of Phil's osophy! And that episode where Cam is in the three with his "Cats" costume. (P)hilarious

I can see you role your eyes, but this movie is one of my guilty pleasures. I do know it's really bad, but it's just so much fun to watch. And I remember my brother and I playing the game "Mortal Kombat" on our first Nintento. When I watched this the other day, I saw how afwul the effects were... But I do think it's entertaining.

"The Best Exotic Marogold Hotel" is a movie with a very experienced cast. I like Bill Nighy and Judi Dench, but I absolutely love Maggie Smith. I can't wait to finally see this film.

It's almost Christmas and this is one of the coolest Christmas movies ever. The way it was made and all the songs. LOVE IT! I like this edition, with the black & white Jack Skellington cover.

I was really ashamed that I didn't own Disney's "Beauty & the Beast" yet, because it's my favorite Disney movie. For some reason it was really hard to find here. But I finally got it and I'm over the moon excited!

Top 5 Thursday: Male TV Characters of the Moment

I recently listed my favourite female characters of the moment. Now it’s time for the boys. That was a lot harder, because there is more to choose from. Here they are.

5. Daryl Dixon in “The Walking Dead”
Didn’t like him in the beginning, but he kind of grew on me. Daryl has a big mouth, but he has a heart of gold.

4. Philip “Chibs” Telford in “Sons of Anarchy”
If you need someone to rely on, and then I mean really always rely on, Chibs is your guy. There isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for you. But don’t make him your enemy, because then you’re a dead man.

3. Phil Dunphy in “Modern Family”
He’s quirky and he’s always trying a bit to hard, but isn’t that why everyone loves Phil? Well, I do. I think Phil is awesome.

2. Dean Winchester in “Supernatural”
What’s not to love? Dean is a great guy, he’s tough, cool, sexy, great taste in music and a loyal brother to Sam. And somehow Dean never dies, ok he does but he always returns.

1. Nick Stokes in “CSI”
Still standing strong in my top 5. This can only change if the show isn’t on television anymore. Nick is a great CSI, kind, smart, loyal and helpful. Seriously, how can you dislike Nick?

They Almost Made the Top 5: Greg Sanders in “CSI”, Dexter Morgan in “Dexter”, Cameron Pritchett in “Modern Family”, Jackson Avery in “Grey’s Anatomy”, Alan Harper in “Two and a Half Men”, Sheldon Cooper in “The Big Bang Theory”, Juan Carlos “Juice” Ortic in “Sons of Anarchy”

Top 5 Thursday: Female TV Characters of the Moment

I like a strong leading character in a TV show, but mostly it’s the guys. Really? I found some great women who shine between all those guys. These are the female characters I love the most at the moment.

5. Deb Morgan in “Dexter”
I started to follow this show recently, but I still need to rewatch the entire series sometime. Deb is great, although she has some issues.

4. Tara Knowles in “Sons of Anarchy”
Tara really transformed in this show. She is really part of the club now and sometimes she even handles things the Gemma-way.

3. Maggie Greene in “The Walking Dead”
I liked her from the beginning. She lost a lot of her loved ones, but she learned how to deal with it and how to kick ass!

2. Morgan Brody in “CSI”
Morgan had a guest appearance once and when I heard she was getting a regular role I was excited. I like her, she is a great addition to the team and she’s very smart.

1. Claire Dunphy in “Modern Family”
I don’t like to admit it, but sometimes I’m a little bit like Claire. Maybe that’s why I love her so much. Claire is a hands-on mom and she likes to have control. And although Phil is a bit of a cluts, she loves him unconditionally.

Modern Family: Because Being Together is Enough

I love "Modern Family". It's without a doubt the funniest show of the moment and one of the only show even my parents and brother love watching as well. We watch it with the whole family and we all have our favorites. But with this show there is actually no one who isn't funny or anyone I dislike. Just a great show, with fantastic characters performed by a fabulous cast. I made a wallpaper of the show.

Feel free to use it on your own desktop.

Top 5 Thursday: "Modern Family" Characters

Every thursday I will share a top 5 with you. It can be about anything, but mostly movies, TV or music. First, my favorite "Modern Family" characters.

5. Manny Delgado
I like him because he's not your average kid. Manny does a lot of adult-like thinks, like drink coffee and he has conversations with Claire about her marriage and kids like he's a grown man. And I love how passionate Manny can get, which also makes him romantic. Manny fears butterflies and that's just adorable.

4. Gloria Delgado-Pritchett
Off course Gloria is hilarious, because of the way she pronounces the English words. Like for example, when she ordered baby cheesus for Jay and got a box of baby Jesus dolls. But what I love the most about Gloria is how she loves Jay unconditionaly. She's much younger than Jay, but didn't marry him for the money. She truly loves him and we all believe her.

3. Claire Dunphy
Claire isn't one of the funniest characters, but I adore Claire. Basically because I recognize a lot of myself in her. Claire can be controlfreak and I can be like that too (although I don't like admitting it). And I like her being so overprotective over her kids, when she was a wildchild herself. Claire doesn't want her children to make the same mistakes. When Claire starts freaking out, I love her even more. Like in the episode where she trying to get her family together for a family portrait.

2. Cameron Tucker
Cameron has such an bubbly outgoing personality, he doesn't care what other people think of him. I sometimes wish I could be like that. And his weird hobby's: collection antique fountain pens, making Japanese flower arrangement, filming home movies and performing as Fizbo the clown. And his love for Mitchell, although he's the complete opposite of him.

1. Phil Dunphy
Phil is a character I love a little more every episode. I Like how he tries to bond with his kids, but always fails (except with Luke). The fact that he's trying so very hard, like knowing all the songs to "High School Musical", makes him even funnier. Phil has a juvenile attitude. I also like how he is around Gloria. At times he shows a sort of crush-like affection for her, but he would never stray from Claire.

Pic Spam: Modern Family

"Modern Family" is one of the funniest shows ever and it's not even a sit-com. It's just unique and it is hard to say which of the characters is my absolute favorite. I think it's a tie between Phil and Cameron, but then there's also Claire, Gloria, Jay..... I just love 'em all. Here are some nice pictures of the cast and even then they entertain us.

5 Reasons why I love Modern Family

There are so many TV shows on right now, but how many of them are truly original? Not a lot. "Modern Family" is one of them and I'm a huge fan of the series. Here are five reasons why I love the show so much.

The characters
I don’t know where to start. All the characters are so unique but also very life-like. I think everyone can identify with one of the characters, because they are portrayed so real. Or you recognize elements from your own family life. I think Cameron is my favorite because he’s just so hilarious. Remember that scene from season 1, where he’s dressed as a clown and he has that giant clock in his pocket. I almost peed my pants. And Phil, trying too hard to be the cool dad. I think most people find him annoying, but I find him very funny. (WTF, that means Why that face…). And when he tries to lie, he just can’t do it. I like Claire, maybe because I recognize bits of her in me. I want to be in control sometimes. Gloria is fantastic, her spice and temperament. And Manny, such a sweet kid, who’s affraid of butterflies. Aaww. The karakters in the show are people you actually care about.

The writing
Very clever and fresh. The storylines are traditional, but the writers know how to re-use them in an original way, so it stays interesting and it never bores you. And the actors now their way around those themes. It's always a little bit different from how other shows do it and that's why this show is so unique.

The actors
They are all perfectly cast. Even the kids. Just perfect! I don't think it needs any explanation.

Family life
A lot of comedies have standard families with maybe one or two oddballs. But this family is everything BUT standard. That’s what I love, they dare to be different. This show has heart, the family has heart and they won mine over.

Mockumentary style
I like it in “The Office” but it also works for “Modern Family”. I like it when the characters talk to the camera. It’s so honest and real. You get to know the characters more and you have the feeling that you're a part of their life.
