You read it on a lot of movie sites: movies you have to see this summer. Well, they have a lot of reasons why you should see it and these are the ones that I want to see (and why):
- MacGruber: It's based on a sketch from Saturday Night Live and a spoof of the classic TV show "MacGyver". Do I think it'll be a good movie? No, but it sure seems like a lot of fun!
- The Losers: It's based on a comic book series and it involves a special forces team betrayed by their CIA handlers. It has Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Chris Evans and Zoe Saldana in it. And Jeffrey Dean Morgan... oh, I allready mentioned him ;)
- Predators: Another sequel to "Predator" (with Arnold) and with Robert Rodriguez as its producer and writer. That sounds good (and the trailers looks good). Adrien Brody, Laurence Fishburne and Topher Grace star in this one.
- The A-Team: I wasn't sure if I wanted to put this one up here, because I love the original show. So it's going to be weird seeing Liam Neeson as Hanibal and Bradley Cooper as Face, but still I'm a little curious. So what the hell, I will probably give it a shot!
- Robin Hood: There are a lot of movies about this man, and as a teenager I watched "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" a lot. But still this sounds great. A little uninspired tough, but who cares. Besides Russel Crowe and Cate Blanchett as Robin and Marian... seems like a good choice.
- The Expendables: Stallone, Willis, Statham, Jet Li and Steve Austin! Muscles and a lot of action! Hell yeah! This is one of those no- brainers, but sometimes that's the charm!
- Toy Story 3: Yeah! Woody, Buzz and all of their cute friends are back. I love the first two films, so no doubt about it that I'm going to enjoy the third installment.
- Hot Tub Time Machine: I admitt that the story sounds kind of weird. Four friend that get into a hot tub and end up in 1986, when they were teenagers. But it really looks like a lot of fun and it has John Cusack in it, whom I LOVE!
- Inception: I really don't know exactly what this movie is about, but I was drawn to it when I saw the trailer. Christopher Nolan directs and Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page and Joseph Gordon Levitt star in it.

Looking past the shadows in my mind
I made a new wallpaper for my computer. This time it features Nick Stokes, my favorite character from my favorite show "CSI". The text I used is a line from the song "Breathing" by Lifehouse. Here it is:
Feel free to use it on your own computer.

Another winning wallpaper
I entered another CSI wallpaper challenge. This time the theme was "Teamwork". I made two wallpapers and this is my winner:
I decided to make one for the crossover episodes, where the three CSI teams work together. Obviously people liked it, because they voted for my wallpaper. If you also like, feel free to use it on your own computer.

Eight new episodes
As of April 1st, CBS is going to air 8 new CSI episodes. I can't wait. In The Netherlands I'll have to wait a while for it to be on TV, but I'm not going to wait. I watch them online! CBS.com uploaded a promo video, what to expect from these episodes. It looks awesome. Things that I think are going to happen:
- Catherine and Vartann are getting it on;
- Dr. Jekyll is back again;
- Someone gets hurt (I think it's Langston, hit by a piece of wood);
- Wendy and Hodges share a kiss;
- Archie is going to work in the field;
- Nick.... well nothing special there, but I can't leave him out.
All awesome!!!!

Best movies about sisters/ girlfriends
Yes, another list! I decided to make a list of movies where it's all about sisterhood and friendships between women. Here are my favorites, in random order:
{Atonement} The connection between sisters Briony and Cecilia Talis is strong at first. But the younger Briony has a fancyful imagionation and screws up that relationship. It'll never be the same again.
{Sunshine Cleaning} Rose and Norah are very different women, but they are sisters. They start a crime scene clean up business together and try to deal with their own lives. I love the scene with the matress.
{Pride & Prejudice} Elizabeth has four sisters, but Jane is the only one she can always rely on. They're also best friends and companions. I really like the part where the two sisters are talking to each other, under the sheets, about Mr. Bingley.
{Now and Then} It's the girly version of "Stand By Me", about four girls who grew up together. They experience life together.
{Little Women} A beautiful story about four sisters, during the Civil War. Love, death, trust and family.
{The Other Boleyn Girl} "She is my sister. And therefore, one half of me" Mary Boleyn says. Even if the older sister Anne stabs you in the back to get what she wants. That's real sisterhood ;)
{Sense & Sensibility} Again two totally different sister with a very strong bond. They are opposites, but no one can destroy their sisterhood and friendship.
{The Jane Austen Book Club} A great group of friends, who have something in common: a passion for Jane Austen books. Together they discuss the stories but also their own lives: divorce, love, dissapointment and seduction.

And the winner is....ME!!!
I told you that my brother, my parents and I all made a prediction for the Oscars. We only predicted actor, actress, supporting actor, supporting actress, movie and director. All my guesses where right, my brother missed the director category, my dad only got movie and supporting actor and my mom guessed Sandra Bullock (my mom and dad aren't movie experts...).
I'm glad that I won, but not glad with some winners. I think "The Hurt Locker" is a bit overrated, but I understand why The Academy likes it. Iraq is a very up-to-date topic, but not very original. Mo'nique wouldn't be my pick either, because I'm just not a fan. But again I can understand, because we know her as a comedy actress and she shows us a different side of herself. Director, no, not my pick either. For the same reasons as I wouldn't have picked the movie.
Sandra finally being nominated was awesome, her winning it is even more amazing. She really deserves it. So does Jeff Bridges. I can't believe he never won before. If Morgan Freeman had won, I would be happy as well, he's one of my favorites of all time. Christoph Waltz winning was my highlight!!! He really impessed me in "Inglorious Basterds", especially because I didn't know him before.

Beautiful Blunt
You could read my review on the movie "The Wolfman" a while ago. It starred Emily Blunt, a charming and talented British actress. She's a very good actress, she has star quality without getting arrogant and she is very beautiful (yes, even if I'm straight I can say that as a woman). I decided to make a wallpaper of her. I ended up with 3 actually.
Here's one with Emily being a little bit of a tough chick:
And this one also has Benicio Del Toro in it, her co-star in "The Wolfman":
The last one is my favorite, being a natural beauty. This one is also on my desktop:
Feel free to use them on your own computer.

Wallpaper Challenge Winner!
As you know, I'm a huge "CSI" fan. My favorite website is talk.csifiles.com, a "CSI" forum. On that forum there are also fanart challenges. I entered a wallpaper challenge (in the past I did it more often, this was the first time since a very long time). The theme was Natalia/ Lindsay/ Sara (women from each series). I only watch the original "CSI" so Sara was my wallpaper subject. Then people could vote for their favorite wallpaper and guess what..... I won first place! Yeah! I didn't win anything, it's just for the honours. And this is the wallpaper that won:
