Netflix Friday - Volume 75

Some Netflix film tips for the weekend! And there is something for everyone, since I picked a movie for all the different genres.
 
Action: Tomb Raider (2018)
Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander), the fiercely independent daughter of a missing adventurer, must push herself beyond her limits when she discovers the island where her father, Lord Richard Croft (Dominic West) disappeared.
 
Drama: Motherless Brooklyn (2019)
In 1050s New York, a lonely private detective (Edward Norton) afflicted with Tourette’s Syndrome ventures to solve the murder of his mentor and only friend.
 
Comedy: The Cable Guy (1996)
A lonely and mentally disturbed cable guy (Jim Carrey raised on television just wants a new friend, but his target, a designer (Matthew Broderick), rejects him, with bad consequences.
 
Animation: Les Contes de la Nuit (2011)
“Les Contes de la Nuit” weaves together six exotic fables each unfolding in a unique locale, from Tibet, to medieval Europe, to the Land of the Dead.
 
Romance: Mamma Mia Here We Go Again (2018)
Five years after the evens of Mamma Mia!, Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) prepares for the gran reopening of the Hotel Bella Donna as she learns more about her mother’s (Meryl Streep) past.
 
Horror: The Conjuring 2 (2016)
Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga) travel to North London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by a supernatural spirit.
 
Science Fiction: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1
Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) is in District 13 after she shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage.
 
Crime: Just Mercy (2019)
World-renowned civil rights defense attorney Bryan Stevenson (Michael B. Jordan) works to free a wrongly condemned death row prisoner.
 
Thriller: Fight Club (1999)
An insomniac office worker (Edward Norton) and a devil-may-care soap maker (Brad Pitt) form an underground fight club that evolves into much more.
 
Documentary: Blood Brothers: Malcolm X & Muhammad Ali (2021)

Family: Dora and the Lost City of Gold (2019)
Dora (Isabela Merced), a teenage explorer, leads her friends on an adventure to save her parents and solve the mystery behind a lost city of gold.
